Armenian Information Technology Community Center

Launched in January 2000 INFOYOUTH ARMENIA is an idea of community youth info service, where the interests and aspirations of all parties involved have met happily. It is an unique source of information on Armenian youth, providing constantly updating data on various spheres and issues of young people life.

The background was the plethora of suggestions, ideas, wishes and plans proposed by local youth and yet inaccessible due to numerous "if"-s. The necessity to meet diversity and volume of that beginnings drove to the proposal of the Armenian Federation of UNESCO Clubs (AFUCA)to establish the necessary mechanism of support and guidance.

That idea was approved by the Information and Informatics Division of UNESCO that provided necessary funding for hardware and activities of the Armenian Information Technology Community Centre (AITCC) in the frames of INFOYOUTH Programme. Newly created questionnaires were disseminated and to create training groups by interests.

The Youth Initiatives Support Center (YISC) of AFUCA provided its facilities and, what is most important, devoted volunteers to conduct the trainings, helping to use Internet capabilities at maximum.

The project development became most intriguing, when it went over its planned boundaries, requesting growing volume of international experience and vision. Fortunately, the UNESCO agreed to include that project to INFOYOUTH global network, thus opening new horizons.

It seems articles in Noratert Armenian youth weekly and UNESCO Sources magazine describe comprehensively the work done.

Currently the generated ideas and projects on Human and Children/Youth Rights, Environment/Wildlife Protection, Culture and Education Children are shaped to be hosted later at this web site.

Surprisingly, while the planned trainings are completed, the interest is still growing, and that makes us more enthusiastic in further development of our projects.

INFOYOUTH Armenia is an open system and we hope to enjoy your active involvement and participation. Your comments and ideas, as well as links and partnership proposals are always welcome!
Thanks to all for goodwill, open hearts and assistance!
